The Story Behind Blood Test Tracker

Inspiration

Well it all started one weekend as I was procrastinating when a friend send me a tweet. Someone expressed some frustration related to the market of tools on parsing health data:

"I do blood tests every 4-6 months and get results in PDFs like this. What's the easiest way for me to aggregate all this data in one place to see changes over time, etc? Is there a tool that does this?"

I had the idea that maybe I can do something like this for some time, and the tweet was like a source of motivation to let me know okay get up it's try to actually get some shit done, and see how it work.

Development

I was locked the f***k in. I believe I managed to have something ready in2.5 hours.

Now all I needed was to figure out some better storage engine, and deploy it somewhere. Spoiler(GCP, Firestore)
